So we are spending the next couple of days in my lovely hometown of Chestertown NY for my 20yr High School Reunion. Go NORTH WARREN CENTRAL !! I am very psyched for this !! I have always enjoyed most of my classmates and never looked at high school with any kind of disdain. I had fun and loved it. So my reunion will be a nice flashback. So...My mother informed me that all the hosta I planted in her yard has become the Flavor Of the Week for the local deer population...I am not happy about this. Above, the picture represents how I have come to feel with regards to deer. FYI -- THEY ARE DELICIOUS. Try 'em sometime. The deer population in the Adirondacks has gotten much larger in the short 5yrs I have been gone. They never would come into the public space day or night 5yrs ago. Will have to look up some sort of remedy. Since it is not exactly great weather, I am going to run to our local city, Glens Falls, to find a garden center that has deer repellent. Also, since a tree in my parents front yard that I planted 20 yrs ago finally failed ( quite simply due to my father f-cking with it ) I am going to replace it with 1 or 2 trees. I have to check out the garden centers to see who has a tree or trees that I would like to put there... Other than that...I will have lots of pictures from my reunion - though I forgot my camera so I will do the disposable ones. Have a great Friday !!!

Yes I was indeed just watching THE BRADY BUNCH singing "SUNSHINE DAY" on You Tube !! I love that sight...I have amassed over 100 + videos in my favorite list on the site from the last 3 decades...I am such an 80's freak !!! Now...I am getting ready to head off to work with a skip in my step and a smile on my face. And, I actually need this as today is "CARDIO THERAPY" or Blue Plate Workout as I kindly refer to it. I am the youngest person there by at least 30 years. It can be kind of amusing or incredibly annoying depending on the mood of the geriatric crowd I attend with. Some of the folks in my class at NYU are very rigid about change...My sense of humor and devil may care ways are not always received with the laugh or chuckle that I mean to invoke. But, I think in time they will come to appreciate my humor. If not, I am sure most of them, except for poor Rose Marie who started the class when I did, will be glad when they finish the class. It's 12 weeks 3x a week. So most of them will be done by the time I am 1/2 way through the course.

Since we can all see that I am back...I thought I would take a moment to say who deserves the "thanks" as it were. Why it's our own lesley_redd who mentioned to Sean that she wishes I would blog at least once a week again. So.....the addiction begins again !!!! Thank you lesley_redd  !!!

Have a great Wednesday !!

So...Alright. I am a loser. Happy ?? I was going to be back more often and I could blame some lame ass shit, but I won't. Update... Yes. It's true, the evidence is in, I have a heart. How do we know ?? I had 2 heart attacks.

Yes...starting the Thursday prior to Memorial Day on my way to work..I began to have my first heart attack. I of course did not think it was a heart attack or I would have gone to the hospital. After 2hrs. the "event" passed. So..on with my life for the next 3 1/2 days. That Monday morning, Memorial Day ( May 29th ) at 3a.m. I awoke feeling "odd" again. Heart attack #2. Yada Yada Yada...Went to the hospital 2 days later..The doctors put in a Stent and I am here now telling you about it. Cardio rehabilitation is the main filler of my dance card now. I am doing it in Manhattan as I have to be here for work, but not much else to tell. I will fill you all in with more details as we go forward.

--- ON THE EXTREMELY COOL NEWS FRONT !!! My 20yr. Class Reunion is this coming weekend. Will talk more about that tomorrow ... Yes, I said tomorrow Sean.

Alright....I have been away faaaaaaaaar too long. I would apologise, but you have heard it before from me  - LOL. Quick update with more later....bought a car ( will post picture tomorrow with sean808080 's assistance ) and I love her !!! She is a 2001 Nissan Sentra 4 Door Sedan --- BLACK !!! This is the first time I have owned a black car and it is true what they say --- They are impossible to keep clean looking on the exterior. But, I figured it was time for a different color which is funny to say, as every car I've owned has been a different color...running the gambit as it were. So, like I said, has been awhile since I have been on and have lot's to tell. Will touch on a few things and end with a quick jump on the proverbial soap box. Work has been going well largely in part to my direct supervisor Gregg and my best friend Cathy ( friend I grew up down the street from in Chestertown NY and have know for over 35 years now who is also a co-worker ). Gregg is one of the more patient people I  have ever worked with and loves to teach, so we make a good crew on the day shift at my company. I am learning more and more about Pre-press in Advertising and Printing everyday. It is so refreshing to be doing a job again that not 1 day is like the previous. Something is always popping up to teach you a bit more. I still despise computers. Nuff said about that. Thank God cars do not operate like computers, or we would all be stuck on the side of the road. ( just my opinion people, nothing personal to you computer folks out there ). Family things....well, my next older sister ( sister #3 , my families version of Jan Brady not in a total bad way - but it's there ) had a baby just before Christmas - the 23rd I believe. He is healthy, happy and thank you Lord in Heaven above, his father is Puerto Rican ---- Chance to knock some more of the pure pale Irish/Northern European white out of the family genes, like oldest sister did by marrying a dark tanning man of Italian descent. So, today my sister Lori ( JAN ), her partner Jaime, their son J.R. ( John something or other and everyone insists on calling him JR ) and my mother are coming for a visit this afternoon. My mom has been down in Rockland County in NY taking care of JR while my sister's sitter is away. So I got on the phone and invited them down for dinner so I could selfishly see my Mom !!! Also, my friend Cathy who is also a good friend of my sister Lori ( Cathy and Lori were in the same class at school, I was 1 year behind them ) is showing up today to join in the dinner, conversation and general good times relaxing around the house. Can't wait to see everyone !!! I am making a Shephards Pie, fresh bisquits, salad and a cake for dessert.

Now, the point of the leaf in the upper left of the post.. I was online ordering from one of my favorite organizations === The National Arbor Day Foundation. http://www.arborday.org/index.cfm --- Please check it out. They sell quality plants and trees which they back up 100%. The National Arbor Day Foundation is one of the few organizations that exists simply to promote the expansion and education of people with regards to the importance of trees and plants. They have a very very informative and hands on approach to educating and helping urban areas increase the use of trees to improve the quality of life for urban areas as well as rural. But, as most of you people from rural areas know, we rural people grow up knowing the importance and value of trees and forests. Children who are raised in urban / city areas are not always wise to the importance of trees and the value they add to our everyday lives. This organization actually goes out and will do things from getting an entire neighborhood involved with planting trees around their neighborhood and show them how to care for them. They will get the people to take care of the trees, make the people want to care for the trees and in essence, care for the neighborhood and what becomes of it. Classic "BROKEN WINDOW" theory from an arborist view. Ok, today I was a bit all over the place, but if you ask sean808080  that's not really anything different !!! Glad to see you all again. - Rob signing off !!

Ok...Not normally much of a "self promoter", but today is my birthday.... I would say "big day" etc etc, but I am more of the "quiet" discreet birthday celebrator. Other than "drinks with friends" at a bar, that's usually my birthday wish. sean808080 bought me my first digital camera for my birthday present. It is a CANON POWERSHOT A510. I opened it last night as my mornings start pretty darn early and sometimes I don't see Sean until late in the evening. I played with it tentatively for a bit before wrapping it back up safely in it's package. I am by no means a techno-phobe, but since there is sooooooo much this thing does I actually want to take my time with it and learn ALL that it can do. This will be the first time having something really hi-tech as my own !! I am so excited about using it the first time and being really knowledgeable of it's abilities. My Mom and Dad called me early this morning at work to wish me a Happy B-day which was nice. More to say, more to tell, but I won't bore you. How's are your holiday's kicking off ??? BUSY AND HECTIC like mine ??? Inquiring minds want to know.... ( fyi - picture below of my new camera !! )  Oh -- ALSO , I am 38 for those of you wondering!!!
